sometimes the printed surfaces did not clean up all of the way during machining. I was not sure if the problem was my probing routine, or perhaps degrading quality of the prints toward the end of meeting their delivery quota

when parts did not clean up all the way, I would grind off the serial number and try again. That's why I only got up to 72/125 before running out of printed parts to machine.
